ROBINO is a compact, Wi-Fi-enabled robotics and IoT development controller designed for students, educators, makers, and STEM laboratories. It combines an ESP8266-based Wemos D1 Mini, an onboard dual DC motor driver, dedicated motor terminals, and easy-to-access sensor/actuator connection headers on a single PCB.
ROBINO simplifies robotics project development by reducing breadboard wiring and external modules. The clearly arranged Signal, VCC, and GND headers make it convenient to connect sensors, servos, LEDs, buzzers, and other electronic modules. Dedicated M1 and M2 screw terminals provide easy connections for two DC motors, making the controller suitable for mobile robotics applications.
The integrated ESP8266 Wi-Fi capability allows students to develop IoT and wireless-control projects using Wi-Fi networks, web interfaces, and compatible IoT platforms. A dedicated RX, TX, GND, and VCC header is also provided for serial communication and compatible external devices.
ROBINO includes a DC power input, ON/OFF power switch, motor-driver circuitry, GPIO connections, and mounting holes in a compact educational-friendly design. It can be programmed through the Wemos D1 Mini using compatible development environments such as the Arduino IDE.
ROBINO is suitable for building projects such as line follower robots, obstacle avoidance robots, Wi-Fi controlled cars, smart vehicles, sensor-based robots, home automation systems, IoT monitoring projects, smart agriculture models, and STEM prototypes.
